Who British Monomarks suits

British Monomarks sells the address and the post handling around it, without a building attached. For most small companies that is the sensible middle of this market.

There is a single address, so this only works if that location suits you.

What we noticed

Plan fees cover the address only; every mail action is charged per item on top: 'Letters: Forwarded/redirected 20p + p&p', 'Collected: Letters 17p', parcels collected from 60p, signed-for items from 60p, 'Scan & Email: From 75p per letter', parcel storage £1 a day after 14 days; call answering 'Telephone messages: £1.25' each and diverted calls at call cost + 15%. Itemised charges are ex VAT; plan prices include VAT (plan tables say 'Prices include VAT', and the Virtual Office's '£195.00 + VAT' matches the £234 six-month price), although the homepage also says 'Prices shown EXCLUDE VAT' above the same table. PO Box style address 'Cannot be used as a Company Registered Office address'; registered office is free only for business customers on the Full London (street) address and on the Virtual Office. Personal plans are for personal account customers. No set-up charges. The older price com

the sentence above the price table says 'Prices shown EXCLUDE VAT', while the caption directly under the table says 'Prices include VAT' and the itemised list says 'Examples shown here exclude VAT'

British Monomarks: common questions

How much does British Monomarks cost?

British Monomarks does not publish its virtual office prices, so you have to ask for a quote. That is common among workspace operators and it is worth getting two or three quotes to compare.

Can I use British Monomarks as my registered office?

Only on a plan that explicitly includes registered office use. Several providers sell a business address that is not valid at Companies House, so check the plan table above rather than assuming.

Is British Monomarks any good?

It scores 4.3 from 9 reviews on Trustpilot. Ratings in this market are thin for smaller operators, so treat a handful of reviews as weak evidence either way.
